I am just trying to find out if anyone else is having problems with WD drives. Today, I find out that my backup has started failing again with the same problem. Took it to Apple they eventually replaced my memory and logic board. Had an issue were my disk drive was failing. Had a problem where my Mini could see my TM drive but couldn't backup to it until I did a reboot. Re-do of the problem of my Mini not seeing my TM backup. Has anyone had GOOD experience with off-site, cloud backup services running on their Mac with OS 12.3.1 (Monterey)?.Has anyone else experienced problems with the iDrive cloud backup service.I have contact Apple Support several time (2nd tier help) and no one seems to know why this may be happening unless it has something to do with iDrive. The only cause I can readily identify at this point is this problem may be associated with iDrive software operating in the background on my Mac. Over a period of 7 days I had to twice completely erase and reinstall everything on my HD. And, it was not possible to reboot normally and attempts to reboot in SAFE mode were also not successful. At that point my Mac stopped responding and I tried to reboot. On two separate occasions over the past week, after I installed the iDrive app and got my backups running, the controls to manage unused, "available" space on my HD seemed to stopped working and something took over and filled my HD to within 20Gb of being full. Time Machine and all of my external drive files. I need secure off-site backup for those items that cannot be stored in iCloud: eg. The OS on the Mac is designed to manage free space on the HD as I use different files stored on iCloud.

I have a 1T HD and a 2T allocation for my Apple iCloud service. Recently had an issue running my Mac (running OS 12.3.1) where something was causing my Hard Drive (HD) to fill to the point where my Mac could not longer boot up.
